Item is a photograph of ward H-E in the H.O.E. 18, S.P. 118 in Vasseny, France, decorated for Christmas celebrations. In a letter home, Katharine McLennan wrote that despite bombings and growing uncertainty and rumours, they had celebrated Christmas by giving their patients candies, cakes, chocolates and champagne.
