Item is a photograph of a German Gotha plane which was brought down near Soissons, near Vasseny, France, in February, 1918. Katharine McLennan's time at Vasseny brought her extremely close to the front lines, with more casualties than ever and bombs dropping only 200 metres away from the hospital in which she was working.
