Item is a type-written listing of the people and organizations that donated items to the Louisbourg Museum as of 1958. The listing was compiled by Katharine McLennan and included in her 1958 Museum Catalogue.

Donors played a very important role in the early days of the Museum, especially as the few relics that had been collected were in the possession of private citizens. In addition, donors contributed prints and reproductions of items that were on display in other parts of the world, including France and the New England States, which allowed the initial collection at the Museum to grow.
