Scope and Content:
Item is a photograph taken by Katharine of Sister Francis Dolores Donnelly and Father James J. Tompkins in the People's Library at Reserve Mines. The two worked closely and are credited with creating the pilot project that led to the tax-supported regional library system in Nova Scotia. Katharine was a strong supporter of the Cape Breton Regional Library, serving on the library board and attending conferences when possible to increase her knowledge of librarianship.
