Item is a photographic portrait of French soldier Paul Hurard in uniform at the Front. The photograph was taken during his time at the Hôpital Auxiliaire in Pont-Audemer, France. Katharine McLennan took a series of portraits of the men whom she served and cared for during her time as a volunteer nurse in WWI.
