Item is a photograph of Katharine McLennan sketching the grave of her brother Hugh in Ypres, France. Hugh lost his life in the Battle of Ypres in 1915, and was buried there with his comrades. The loss of Hugh pushed Katharine to volunteer as a nursing assistant during WWI.
